Container for the storage of spent fuel elements from water-cooled nuclear reactors

Description

The bottom of a fuel element is provided with a centering device that fits into a centering hole in the bottom of the cask. The cask is drained by a conic valve in the centering hole. Aeration during drainage is realized by means of a valve for ventilation situated at the top of the cask. (DG)

Abstract (German)

Die BE weisen am Boden eine Zentrierfuehrung auf, die in eine Zentrierungsoeffnung im Behaelterboden passt. Die Zentrierungsoeffnung ist mit einem Kegelventil versehen, ueber das der Behaelter entleert werden kann. Die Belueftung beim Entwaessern erfolgt ueber ein Be- und Entlueftungsventil am Deckel des Behaelters. (DG)
