Radioactive impurities in crystals of bismuth germanate

Description
The results of investigating the internal background of bismuth germanate are presented. It is shown that the 238U and 233Th contents in samples of bismuth germanate scintillation crystals grown from a variety of source materials by various methods do not exceed (1-4)x10-10 g/g. The 207Bi content is approximately the same for all crystals and equals (3-5)x10-16 g/g
