Container for collecting and transporting radioactive waste
Description
The container consists of a box-shaped metal case with two lids fixed by hinges at the top or in a side wall. The lids and hinges are covered by seals which in the closed state guarantee sealing of the container contents against the atmosphere. Two slide bars are fitted on two opposite edges on the container floor. The seals preferably consist of foam rubber. (DG)

Der Behaelter besteht aus einem kastenfoermigen Blechgehaeuse mit ueber Scharniere angebrachten zwei Deckeln auf der Oberseite oder in einer Seitenwand. Die Deckelauflagen und Scharniere sind mit Dichtungen belegt, die im geschlossenen Zustand der Deckel eine Abdichtung des Behaelterinhalts gegen die Atmosphaere gewaehrleisten. Am Behaelterboden sind an zwei gegenueberliegenden Kanten zwei Gleitleisten angebracht. Die Abdichtungen bestehen vorzugsweise aus Moosgummi. (DG)Additional details
