Description

An association relation occurs between the phosphor in phosphorite deposit and radioactive element uranium, that is the foundation for application of gamma-spectrometric survey to the prospecting of phosphor deposit. Based on the analysis of characteristic field of airborne gamma-spectrometry on 6 known phosphor deposits, evaluation criteria for determining the target areas of phosphor deposits have been set up, and they have been applied to the evaluation of unknown areas beyond the Kunyang and Wangjiawan phosphor ore districts. 5 first-grade target areas and 3 second-grade target areas have been selected. It is reported that some phosphor deposits have been found in delineated target areas
