High heat-flux, forced-convection heat transfer for tubes with twisted-tape inserts

  • 1. Atomic Energy Corp. of SA, Pretoria (South Africa)

Description

The results of an investigation of the high heat-flux heat-transfer characteristics of high-velocity single-phase water in short tubes with twisted-tape inserts are presented. The data are well predicted by correlations that account for the large film-temperature difference observed as well as the effect of centrifugal convection
