Simple radiation protection device for γ-irradiation facilities

Description
A suggestion is made for gamma irradiation facilities, in which the maintenance and exchange of radiation sources has so far been performed by immersing the whole system in a water tank, to directly flood the irradiation room in which the system stands and to thus enable that the loading and deloading can be performed under visual control. It is further suggested to also move the radiation source through a flowing medium. (UWI)

Es wird vorgeschlagen bei Gamma-Bestrahlungsanlagen, bei denen die Wartung und der Austausch der Strahlungsquellen bisher dadurch erfolgt, dass man die gesamte Anlage in ein Wasserbecken taucht, den Bestrahlungsraum, in dem die Anlage steht, direkt zu fluten und so auszugestalten, dass das Be- und Entladen unter visueller Kontrolle moeglich ist. Weiter wird vorgeschlagen, dabei auch noch die Strahlenquelle durch ein stroemendes Medium zu bewegen. (UWI)Files
