Description
Supplementary filters are generally viewed as being a suitable method of limiting the radiation exposure of patients. The report provides information on the active mechanisms, possibilities and deficiencies of such filter materials. Additional filters are far from being a perfect remedy. The advantage of slight dose reduction is invariably cancelled out by drawbacks in respect of image contrast and exposure time. Copper is a recommended filter material that may vary in strength between 0.1 and 0.2 mm according to performance data. (orig./HP)
Abstract (German)
(orig./HP)Additional details
