Description

A methodology has been developed for establishing a well-defined lower bound reference fracture toughness curve for nuclear pressure vessel steels. Reference curves can be developed for a specific concidence limit, stress intensity rate, and material. Alternate indexing procedures can be used depending on the acceptable uncertainty in the indexing parameters. (Auth.)
