Description
Covariant definition of positive-frequency functions as being propagated to the future is applied to the case of scalar particles in the Robertson-Walker universe with the scale factor a(t)=t. The positive- and negative-frequency wave functions defining the vacuum states in the future asymptotic and near the singularity are found and the probability of pair production in such space-time is calculated. The cases of flat and three-sphere space slice are considered
