QED of high-Z two- and three-electron ions
Description
The role of high accuracy spectroscopy of two- and three-electron ions for tests of QED in many-body systems is discussed. It is argued that the study of ions with large nuclear charge is particularly well adapted to such tests because of the simultaneous enhancement of QED effects and increased convergence of many-body perturbation theory (MBPT). A set of Feynman graphs associated with QED and MBPT is discussed. (orig.)
