Cuprate high temperature superconductivity: relieving a quantum traffic jam

Description

High temperature superconductivity in the cuprate materials arises from doping an interaction induced electronic 'Mott insulator'. We discuss the extent to which such a strongly correlated superconductor is understood, and close with a set of important, and as yet unresolved, puzzles. (author)
