Description
A new inorganic ion exchanger uranium antimonate (USb) was prepared and its ion exchange behaviour was studied towards Cs+, Sr2+, Eu3+ in acidic medium and their selectivity was found to be Cs+ < Sr2+ < Eu3+. Distribution coefficients of strontium were determined after subjecting the exchanger to thermal treatment. USb was characterized by x-ray diffraction pattern and compared with that of polyantimonic acid. (author)
