Synthesis, x-ray structure analysis and phase analysis of alkalithiocuprates
Description
The ternary systems AxCuySz (A = Na, K, Rb) have been investigated for new intermediate compounds, using the starting materials A2S, Cu2S, S. The products (powders and single crystals) where investigated by film methods and a four circle diffractometer. To assist the phase analysis DTA, and electron microprobe analyses where carried out. An inert-sample-holder was developed for use in x-ray photographs (Guinier-technique) of air and moisture sensitive powders. Four new alkalithiocuprates have been prepared and their structures determined: Na4Cu2S3, Na7Cu12S10, RbCu3S2 and RbCuS. (author)
