Methodology for high-level waste systems safety analysis in the preclosure phase
Description
A systematic methodology has been assembled to assess the safety of high-level waste repositories during the preclosure phase. The methodology can be used to identify and quantitatively rank structures, components, systems, and operations that are important to safety. Results from the first of the three project phases are reported, along with preliminary conclusions available to date. 12 references
