Friedel Oscillations in Quantum Layers at Finite Temperature

Description
The Friedel oscillations in a strictly two-dimensional quantum layer are studied at finite-temperature. The effect of the short-range as well as the long-range electron-electron interactions is taken into account in our calculations and the results are compared with those obtained from the non-interacting calculations. Our results show that the first peak of the Friedel oscillations changes the position toward the origin by increasing the temperature. Also, for the non-interacting two-dimensional electron gas systems in any electron density, we have found that the amplitude of the first peak of Friedel oscillations decreases by increasing the temperature whereas for the interacting systems at low electron densities, this amplitude increases
