This paper reviews briefly the reprocessing of the different types of fuels (gas cooled fuels, light water, fuels MOX and high-burnup fuels and fast breeder fuels) for quantities reprocessed, plant capacity and forecasting. Significant reduction of reprocessing cost is expected by the year 2000
