National Grid's review of 1992
Description
The Chairman of the United Kingdom (UK) National Grid Company plc presents a review of his company's performance in 1992. The year was dominated by regulatory and energy policy issues, with the Government refusing to return to the old centrally planned system. The year ended with the UK energy industries having a more clearly defined framework in policy terms. It is expected that high levels of activity and dynamism will continue in the industry following the Government's reaffirmation of its commitment to market mechanisms and a liberalized energy sector.
