Secondary ionic emission from elementary substances and binary compounds

Description
Introduction in different matrices of alkaline impurities leads to enhancement of the secondary negative ions yield. This effect grows with the lowering of ionization potential of alkaline atoms and increasing of electron affinity of the matrix. The yield of the secondary positive atomic ions is affected practically by alkali impurities. Different suppositions on the reasons of such an influence of alkaline impurity are discussed
