Computed tomographic assessment of the mediastinum in patients with lung cancer

Description

57 patients with histologically or cytologically proven lung cancer underwent computed tomography of the thorax. 19 patients had malignant involvement of the mediastinum, and C.T. scanning detected 16 of these. In 38 patients with a clear mediastinum, the scan report was correct in 29. There were 3 false negative and 9 false positive results
