High voltage glow discharge in electron gun regime

Description

Some characteristics of high voltage glow discharges for certain parameters specific to plasma electron sources are presented. The V-I discharge characteristics are given and analysed for various electrode geometries. There are also analysed the thermal effects caused by primary cathode electrons and the thermal balance of the anode heating. (author)
