Hydrogen overvoltage on cadmium in the presence of surfactants
Creators
- 1. Kazakhskij Khimiko-Tekhnologicheskij Inst., Chimkent (USSR)
Description
It is demonstrated that BGU-21 surface-active substances containing phosphorus and sulphur enchance the overvoltage for the generation of hydrogen from sulphuric acid solutions on cadmium electrodeposited with and without additives (0.5 g/1 gelatin, 1.4 g/1 nickel sulphate). The effect of the additives persists even when the temperature is raised. (author)
