High-resolution resonant photoemission study of CeSi

Description

Ce 4f states in CeSi have been investigated by Ce 3d-4f and 4d-4f resonant photoemission spectroscopies. The two obtained Ce 4f spectra exhibit a peak at 1.0 eV besides the structures due to 4f1 and 4f0 final states which have been observed in the 4f spectra of conventional Ce compounds. We have analyzed the obtained Ce 4f spectra with the non-crossing approximation calculation based on the single impurity Anderson model. The relationship between their electronic and magnetic structures is discussed
