Reactor container and nuclear power plant
Description
Pipelines connected to a reactor pressure vessel in a reactor container have a heat insulation material wound over the entire outer periphery thereof. The heat insulation material is entirely made of a metal. When pipelines of a reactor recycling pump are ruptured, for example, cooling water is jetted out from the ruptured opening to break the heat insulation material. Then, when the broken heat insulation material is flown into a suppression pool water in the suppression chamber, since the heat insulation material is made of the metal, it has a small buoyancy and sinks to the bottom of the suppression chamber by the gravitational force. Accordingly, a strainer of an emergency core cooling system is free from clogging otherwise caused by the suction of the heat insulation material by a pump upon operation of the emergency core cooling system or a container cooling system.
