Specific features of radioluminescence of Lu2 SiO5 - Ce single crystals

Description
Non elementary bands of Ce-I and Ce-II cerium centers in nonequivalent crystallographic positions were revealed in spectra of pulsed radioluminescence of Lu2SiO5-Ce samples at high density of electron beam exaltation. The observed structure of spectra is explained by transformations in Ce+ ions. The promising character of using lutetium silicate in scintillation counters with high-speed response and high light output was noted
