Description
Fort St. Vrain reached full power on 6 November 1981, and marks a milestone in high temperature gas cooled reactor (HTGR) technology. A review is given of its features and modifications from its construction in 1968 to the present day. It is suggested that Fort St. Vrain demonstrates the performance and safety of the HTGR concept.
