Gluon condensate and the SU(3) non-invariance of the vacuum

Description
Using the PCAC relations for π, K and η8, SU(3) invariant and noninvariant solutions of the quark condensate ratio for strange and normal quar ks are derived. Making use of the QCD sum rule an important relation between the quark condensate and gluon condensate, consistent with the findings of Shifman et al (1979) is also obtained. (author). 13 refs
