Description

The following are the objectives of the work: to identify and determine the levels of heavy metals present in the ex-mining area (soil, sediment, water, vegetation and organisms), to determine the possible linkages of heavy metal to the water, sediments and the aquatic organisms, to measure the natural radioactivity levels in soils, sediments, water and aquatic organisms, and map out the natural background radiation in the study area using GPS technique
