Radiation monitoring arrangements

Description

Analysis of creation a radiation control system after the ChAPP accident has lead to the following recommendations. It is necessary to estimate possible improvements of the APP radiation safety control services on the basis of modern automatic complexes. It is obligatory to design devices intended for routine and urgent use. A further development and the improvement of the available measuring instruments on the basis of microelectronics aimed at organizing personnel training at the APP are needed. It is expedient to develop a complete collection of individual radiation protection means, enabling the working activity in the forests with MPD up to 3500 R/h and taking account account of hard β- and γ-radiations. 3 figs., 8 tabs
