American waste minimization opportunity assessment in the decommissioning of nuclear facilities
Description
This article provides a description of the waste minimization regulations, the waste minimization opportunity assessment procedure, as well as the goal and mission of every steps in the Waste Minimization Opportunity Assessment Manual, which was published by U.S. EPA. It also provides an example of the application of waste minimization opportunity assessment in the decommissioning of Hanford site. (author)
