Description
A method of determining Ra isotopes by α-particle spectrometry using 225Ra as a yield tracer has been developed. Radium is coprecipitated with lead sulphate, purified using ion exchange techniques, and electrodeposited from an aqueous/ethanol solution. The procedure can be easily completed in 1 day. Tracer recoveries are typically 80%, and the resolution obtained is typically 40 keV FWHM. (author)
