Synchrotron radiation and some medical and biological uses

Description
A short review of synchrotron radiation is presented. Some aspects concerning its use in medicine and biology are described. The advantage of synchrotron radiation over other diagnostic techniques as angiography and ultrasonography is discussed. The importance of the National Synchrotron Light Laboratory, located in Campinas (Brazil) is emphasized. (M.A.C.)
