On a reliability of determination of γ-decay schemes by the summation method of amplitudes of coincidence momenta

Description

Excited state interval of a complex nucleus accessible to investigation was extended at least by twice by the method of summation of amplitudes of coinciding pulses (SACP) from two Ge(Li) detectors. The analysis of influence of background γγ-coincidences on a reliability of determined γ-decay scheme is performed. The probability of inclusion of a false level into final result is evaluated by the mathematical simulation method. The probability of availability of least one false level in γ-decay schemes of 178,179Hf nucleus investigated by the SACP method does not exceed 10% at E <or approx. 3.5 MeV excitation energy
