AMP-deaminase and cytosolic 5'nucleotidase in human and murine lymphocyte subpopulations

  • 1. Laboratoire de Biochimie des Membranes, 8 rue de 1'Ecole Normale, Montpelier

Description

The authors study AMP-deaminase activity in different lymphocyte subpopulations in Swiss male mice. It is shown that, unlike c5'N, AMP-deaminase displayed activities dependent on the differentiation level; these differences in activity seem to result from the presence of different AMP-deaminase isoenzymes. AMP-deaminase activities appeared inversely related to dATP accumulation which coincided with the inhibition of RNA synthesis and cell death. In the study AMP-deaminase was assayed by following the conversion of 5' -tritium-AMP or 5'-d-tritium'AMP to 5'-tritium-IMP or 5'-d-tritium-IMP at 37 C. The specific activities of AMP-Deaminase in mouse and human lymphocyte subsets and in hyman lymphoblastoid cell lines are shown in a table
