Monitor for the determination of the center of gravity position charged particle beam
Description
A monitor for the determination of the centre-of-gravity position of charged particle beam is described. It comprises sensible units of the magneto-induction type which are made as two segments of a long line with equal electric parameters. To expand the dynamic range of measurements, magneto-induction units are arranged parallel to the shift measured and are displaced in relation to each other in the direction of the propagation of electric signal. The accuracy of the coordinate determination mainly depends of performances of electron apparatus. In the case described the deviation of results does not exceed +-2 mm at changing the r roordinate in the limits of +-100 mm
