The composite spectrum and energy distribution of XX Ophiuchi

  • 1. Lowell Observatory

Description

Broad-band photometry from 0.36 to 10.2 , narrow-band photometry and scans from 0.75 to 1.08 iL and Fourier transform spectrometry from 1.4 to 2.3 show that the peculiar Be star XX Oph has a cool companion with a spectral type of M6. The observed energy distribution can be represented by a BO III star and an M6 III star reddened by 4 mag of visual extinction. Subject headings: Be stars - binaries - spectrophotometry - stars, individual
