Emission of large heteronuclear ion clusters at graphite sputtering by cesium ions

Description

Results testifying to the fact that graphite sputtering by Cs+ ions initiates the formation of large heteronuclear cluster ions CnCsk+ (nmax=36) are presented. In this case CnCs+ ions appear to be the prevailing type of positive secondary ions, and CnCs- clusters compete by intensity with emission of homonuclear Cn-. Relative intensity of separate ion groups and monomolecular fragmentation orientation are noted
