Description

The spectrum of the bound phonon-plasmon modes in the mesoscopic system of the thin conducting planes, separated by dielectric layers, is considered. The coefficient of reflection from such a sample in the infrared area is calculated. The reflection coefficient minima are determined by the frequencies of the longitudinal and cross-sectional phonons in the dielectric interlayers, as well as by the Van-Hove peculiarities of the bound modes. The measurement of the Raman scattering differential cross section makes it possible to establish directly the spectrum of these modes
