Anisotropic impurity Ndsup(3+) centers in lanthanium-manganese hexaaluminate

Description
The aim of the paper is to determine a geometrical structure of some optical Ndsup(3+) ion centers in lanthanum-manganese hexaaluminate (LMHA)LaMgAs11O19. The absorption spectrum of Lasub(0.8)Ndsub(0.2)MgAlsub(11)Osub(19) monocrystal in the polarized light at T-290 K in the region of sup(4)Isub(9/2) → sup(2)Psub(1/2) transition is obtained. Analysis performed showed that all types of Ndsup(3+) centers in LMHA had a symmetry arising as Dsub(zh) reduction
