Study on nucleus-nucleus interactions at energies of the order of 1012 eV

Description

Multiplicity of particles produced in nucleus-nucleus interactions at the 102-103 GeV/nucleon energies is studied. The data obtained earlier in the experiment with an emulsion pile of the approximately 45 l volume are analyzed. The interactions of 17 nuclei with Z>=6 charge are processed. The conclusion is made that there is a class of interactions with average multiplicity per one interacting nucleon, approximately 2 times smaller than one could expect of the simple superposition of independent nucleon-nucleon interactions
