Kinetic studies on the extraction and stripping of uranium (Vi) from pretreated phosphoric acid by HDEHP + CYANEX 921 using single drop technique

Description
the kinetic of extraction and stripping of U (Vi) from pretreated H3PO4 . with a synergistic mixture of HDEHP + CYANEX 921 in kerosene has been studied using single drop technique. the effect of concentration of U (Vi), H3PO4, HDEHP, CYANEX 921 and temperature on the extraction rate of uranium have been examined. ammonium carbonate solution was found to be a good strippant for U(Vi) from organic phase, the flow rate and drop diameter of the organic phase used have slight effect on the extraction and stripping rate of uranium . the mechanism for the extraction and stripping rate for this process is discussed
