Description
In order to increase the effective quantity of the pulse output charge of Yb:YAG scintillation detector, several Yb:YAG scintillators were encapsulated just as a NaI scintillator was. In a fast pulse X-ray field, the pulse output character of a encapsulated Yb:YAG scintillators and a un-encapsulated one were measured, matching with a common GD40 photoelectric tube and an ultraviolet ray transmitting GD40 tube. As is shown in the results, after the Yb:YAG scintillator is encapsulated, the quantity of the pulse output charge is increased by 90, the statistic fluctuation of the waveform could be reduced by 1/3.
