Dose rate monitoring in center for the application of isotopes and radiation and its surounding

Three types of 60-Co irradiator were built in centre of the application of isotopes and radiation (PAIR) i.e Gama Cell Unit with its sources shielded in Pb container, Multipurpose Panoramic irradiator (IRPASENA) and Latex irradiator (IRKA). Their total activities are 7.37 PBq. For radiatior workers and member of publics safeties, dose rate monitoring were carried out in the working areas and environment within 500 m radius from IRKA. monitoring results showed that the dose increases in working areas and environment of the facilities within 200 m radius, were caused of IRPASENA sources. The highest dose were found in the control panel room 0.2 mR/hour in the facilities environment 0.03 mR/hour. The dose were in the safety condition. It was clarified by the evaluation of personal monitoring (TLD and film) for radiation workers around the irradiator, in the period of 1980 to 1985. (author). 3 refs, 5 figs, 5 tabs
