Waste products from thermal power engineering as a source for environmental pollution

Description
By mass-spectrometry there are proved and quantitative determined 17 polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAH) in waste solid products from lignite coal combustion. Main parts from them are included in the USEPA list for markedly harmful compounds. Total amounts of PAH are 477 μg/kg in the fly ash and 704 μg/kg in the slag. PAH distributions depending on the number of aromatic cycles are similar as 3-cyclic aromatic compounds are in maximal amounts and 5-cyclic ones are in minimal. Phenanthrene quantity is in most abundance, 223 (μg/kg in the slag and 92.8 μg/kg in the fly ash
