High resolution photographic inspection of a magnox reactor pressure vessel
Description
The management of a project to inspect the surface of weldments of a magnox reactor pressure vessel is described. The development of the optical system and advanced manipulators and their in-reactor deployment is presented. Typical results are shown and the observed surface features explained in terms of phenomena associated with pressure vessel construction and operation. (author)
