Description
Several nonlinear optics experiments are described concerning the generation of coherent VUV radiation or the excitation of VUV energy levels. These include the production of cw VUV radiation by four-wave mixing, hydrogen plasma diagnostics using resonant multiphoton ionization, and excitation of hydrogen Rydberg levels by three-photon absorption.
