  • 1. Ministry of Energy of RA and Armenian Science-Research Institute for the NPPs Operation (ARMATOM Institute) (Armenia)

Description

Full text: The main objective of a safety parameters display system (SPDS) is to render an informational support to the operational personnel of the Main Operating Control Panel (MPCP) during the emergency situations and accidents. Besides, the SPDS monitors the parameters, which characterize the critical functions of safety (CFS). The support to the operational personnel of a nuclear power plant has been realized through: presenting, with the aid of the SPDS, the information on the CFS conditions in order to discover in proper time the symptoms of integrity interruption conditions for the safety barriers, which were accepted in accordance with the concept of 'Defense in depth'; and also determining the personnel activities direction which is safety-prioritized; presenting to the operational personnel and the NPP authorities the summarized information on parameters which characterize the NPP safety; controlling the correctness of the emergency actions fulfillment. Besides, the report includes the description of the SPDS programme-technical complex, its special functions with the following subdivisions: informational; diagnostic; auxiliary; and also the software with its main parts.
