Factors which provide stability of metal-oxide composites to electron bombardment in vacuum
Creators
Description
Secondary emission parameters are investigated in composite material specimens prepared by impregnation of a sintered tungsten matrix with a mixture of barium alumoberyllate (xBaO·yBeO·zAl2O3). The specimens are irradiated by a primary electron beam 1.0-3.0 m in diameter with primary current of 100 m A and electron energy of 1500 eV. The best emission properties are revealed in spe cimens for which preparation the tungsten powder subjected to high temperature annealing and mixing is used. Such specimens exhibit good reproducibility of emission parameters and high stability under electron bombardment in vacuum
