Modernization of the decontamination methods of the first loop of a nuclear reactor
Description
Decontamination is a very important stage in the complex of measures for providing a normal radioactive situation at a power plant. It's efficiency depends on the behaviour of cobalt 60 because of it's radioactivity in corrosion products. In the case of remelting of dismantled equipment, cobalt 60 is present in the metal ingot. An objective of this research was to study the process of removal of cobalt 60 from metal surfaces. The optimal technological process of the steam generator decontamination was proposed
