YBa2Cu3O7-x/Ag coatings on roughened Cu prepared by sedimentation and oxidizing sintering

Description
An original method for the preparation of thick coatings on refractory steel is extended to Cu substrates. Adherent coatings are obtained on a thick buffer layer of Cu2O grown during sintering in an O2 atmosphere. Composite YBa2Cu3O7-x/Ag coatings are shown to be sufficiently flexible during sintering and cooling to maintain convenient electrical properties. (author)
