Description
The results of irradiation therapy for nasopharyngeal carcinoma in 49 patients treated at the Department of Radiology, Jikei University of Medicine, between 1968 and 1981 are reviewed. The CR rate increased in proportion to increased dosage, especially in well-differentiated squamous cell carcinoma. The five-year cumulative survival rate was 40 % in all stages. Severe late radiation injury occurred in two patients. (author)
